We’re seeking a passionate Motion Capture Cleanup Animator with a passion for Animation to help deliver fantastic gameplay experiences. The ideal candidate is passionate about games and demonstrates an explicit knowledge of animation principles through their work.
What you will do:
– Manipulating and adjusting complex mocap animation data.
– Retarget motion capture data to game assets using high end workflow.
– Perform clean up to existing motion capture data, and apply motion data to 3D character models using Maya/Mobu.
– Troubleshoot and resolve issues with mocap data, including misalignments, errors, and other technical problems.
– Maintain consistent animation quality and style throughout the production process.
Your Profile:
– Proven experience in motion capture animation for video games, films, or other interactive media.
– A solid understanding of animation principles, including timing, weight, and human/creature movement.
– Understanding of game production pipelines and performance capture integration.
– Previous experience in keyframe animation, with an eye for weight, timing, and natural motion.
– Proficient in English (both written and verbal).
Desirable Pluses:
– Experience with real-time animation tools or game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity).
