Magic Media is currently seeking a Lead Game Designer that can perform at a wide variety of game genres, platforms and target audiences and who is able to lead a project’s game design team. The perfect candidate should be capable of working on multiple projects and cooperating with Producers, Customers, and other Stakeholders -internal and external- in a fast-paced international environment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Create thrilling games that fit our client’s vision and provide solutions that match industry standards
- Game theory and game mechanic’s design
- Create detailed documentation of the Game’s Design both for Clients and for developers
- Formulate ideas that meet the stated requirements and present them to the team in an effective manner
- Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations
- Give feedback in a constructive and effective manner
- Design game mechanics, systems, game economy and everything that the game may need
- Work within a multidisciplinary team towards shared goals
- Estimate, prioritize and coordinate game design activities
- Coach teammates in game design tasks
- Communicate and cooperate with Customers and other Stakeholders
- Participate in different Design Department activities to collaborate and coordinate with fellow game designers
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
YOUR PROFILE:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Professional experience in game design: +5 years
- Previous experience as Lead Designer of a team of more than 3 designers
- Leading the development of at least one large game title from A-Z
- Ability to create games of a wide variety of game genres and for a wide variety of audiences
- Deep knowledge creating Game Design Documentation
- Fluent English and excellent communication skills
- Experienced working with Art and Programming departments
- Experience creating and tuning FTUE and game tutorials
- Experience in game economy, monetization and balancing
- Experience working on games from pre-production to release and LiveOps
- Shipped multiple game titles as Game Designer
- Must be proactive, enthusiastic, flexible, capable of working autonomously and energetic
Desirable Pluses:
- Strong mathematical skills, with emphasis on Statistics and Probability
- Experience developing pitches
- Experience working with Unity and Unreal game engines
- Basic scripting skills to adjust features created by developers
- Experience developing for PC and console platforms
- Knowledge of NFT Game Design
- Experience in developing sandbox games
- Experience in developing big open world games
- Experience with mobile and WebGL games
- Experience with play to earn concepts
