We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Animation Supervisor to direct and guide our creative team in the development of world-class animations for films, television, and cinematics. This role requires a deep understanding of the animation process, a strong creative vision, excellent leadership qualities, and hands-on experience in creating high-quality animation.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Lead and manage a team of animators and artists, providing them with clear direction and support.
- Collaborate closely with directors, producers, and other creative heads to define the animation style and guidelines for each project.
- Oversee the creation of dynamic animations across a variety of projects, ensuring they meet the highest artistic and technical standards.
- Conduct regular team meetings and reviews, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Identify potential operational and creative challenges, and strategize solutions to overcome them.
- Develop and implement workflow and pipeline improvements to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Communicate effectively with the production team regarding schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Mentor the animation team to develop their skills and capabilities.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and techniques to continually improve team performance and deliverables.
YOUR PROFILE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Film, Art, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in the animation industry, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven experience in creating and managing high-end animation projects for films, television, and cinematics.
- Extensive knowledge of animation software (like Maya, 3Ds Max, or Blender), and other industry-standard tools.
- Excellent understanding of animation principles and techniques.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a knack for creative and technical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality.
- A strong portfolio showcasing your animation skills.
Desirable pluses
- Experience working with game engines like Unreal Engine or Unity.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or MEL.
- Russian/Ukrainian language is a plus.
